The following terms and conditions are the exclusive terms governing the booking of a PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLE or Taxi (CAB) through this website,, and should be accepted by the passenger when signing the passenger's contact information sheet on the main passenger information page. If any of the terms are unacceptable to You, please do not book a PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLE or TAXI (CAB) through this website. You represent that if you are booking on behalf of someone else, you have their authority to accept the terms and conditions of altCABS.


    1. In these Terms and Conditions the following expressions shall have the following meanings save where the context otherwise requires:

      1. You, Your means the person who enters Details.
      2. We, Us means altCABS ltd or persons or entity representing altCABS ltd.

      3. altCABS altCABS Limited of 450 Bath Road, London. UB7 0EB

      4. Details the details which You must provide upon making a Booking including

      5. Website altCABS's public website and mobile site located at, and altCABS's social media, smartphone and tablet apps.

      6. Cab is a Private Hire Vehicle or (Hackney Carriage) Taxi made available for pre-booked Trips, in compliance with the requirements of relevant Licensing Authorities.

      7. The Operator the licensed Private Hire Operator or Taxi Operator with which You place the Booking, their Agents and/or drivers and/or employees

      8. Quote a fixed price quote that You receive via the Website for the Trip.

      9. Terms these terms and conditions between altCABS and You.

      10. Agreed Pick-Up Point the appointed place for You to be picked up by The Operator as set out in the Details.

      11. Agreed Time the appointed date and time for You to be picked up by The Operator as set out in the Details.

      12. Booking the booking of a Cab effected via this Website for undertaking Trips. Bookings can be made for single Trips, return Trips or split Trips.

      13. Cancellation Allowed Time is the Agreed Time (unless otherwise stipulated in the booking) without being charged a cancellation fee by The Operator or Us.

      14. Card the credit, debit or charge card, or PayPal account You use when making the Booking.

      15. Cash the payment You make for the Fare to the The Operator and/or its Driver.

      16. Card Costs are the charges due to the credit card companies or PayPal used by You to pay for the Trip.

      17. pick-up date and time, pick-up and drop-off addresses and Your Personal Data.

      18. Fare the fee paid by You for the Quote You accept.

      19. Goods any goods carried in a Cab which are booked via this Website.

      20. Trip the journey You wish to make from the pick-up address to the drop-off address provided by You.

      21. Licensing Authority any regional or national licensing authority responsible for licensing the operation of Private Hire Vehicle and/or taxi businesses.

      22. Particular Requirements any specific requirements You may have relating to disabled facilities, the gender of the driver or otherwise.

      23. Passenger any passenger carried in a Cab which is booked via this Website.

      24. Personal Data the details which You provide regarding Your physical and email addresses, teleThe Operatorne number and Card details.

      25. The clause headings and any other headings are inserted for convenience only and shall not affect the construction of these Terms.


    1. It is your responsibility to provide accurate Details when making a Booking through this Website.

    2. We are a disclosed booking agent for The Operator and not an operator ourselves. You and The Operator enter into a direct contract for the provision of the transport service, notwithstanding clause 2.6. If in the Booking You select more than one Operator to provide Your Trips, then the contract for providing the transport service pertaining to each Trip is directly between You and the Operator You selected for that Trip in the Booking.

    3. By making a Booking, You warrant to altCABS that You are at least 18 years old.

    4. We do not guarantee that we can fulfill Your requirements, so we reserve the right to refuse any Booking that You wish to make or to cancel any Booking You have made, in which case we will refund to you the Fee paid by You in full and final settlement of any claims you may have.

    5. altCABS will record Your details and data relating to Your use of the Website, but Your Personal Data will not, subject to the terms of the altCABS Privacy Policy presented below and Clause 2.6 below, be disclosed to third parties other than The Operator or used for any purpose unrelated to the provision of the services hereunder.

    6. Whenever You visit this Website, altCABS may send a small file to Your computer. Using the cookie, altCABS can track your behaviour on our Website and identify areas of interest to enhance your future visits. The altCABS will not be able to identify You through the cookie and it will not be used for any purpose other than to administer this Website.It is possible to set your computer browser to reject cookies but this may prevent you from using certain parts of this Website. The altCABS may disclose Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or at the request of a law enforcement agency or governmental authority.

    7. If You do not want altCABS to use Your email address to send information concerning matters other than those related to Your Booking, You should send a message to and insert "unsubscribe" as the subject heading.

  3. Bookings

    1. Upon entering the Trip Details on out Website, altCABS will attempt to provide You with Quotes from one or several Private Hire and/or Taxi Operators who can fulfill Your requirements. The Quotes represent the current special offers available from Private Hire Operators that are only available at the time of booking.

    2. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of Your details. Your Booking constitutes an offer that altCABS may or may not accept. We don't confirm your booking until the confirmation screen appears on the Website and/or you receive a confirmation email from The Operator via our booking software. 

    3. Bookings You make may also be subject to The Operator Terms & Conditions, although in the event of a conflict, the provisions of this agreement override the provisions of The Operator Terms & Conditions.

    4. In the event that The Operator wishes to impose The Operator Terms & Conditions on You, The Operator is responsible for doing so.

    5. You should not use this Website if you have any Particular Requirements, which can not be met by the altCABS or The Operator and you should instead make alternative travel arrangements that address your Particular Requirements. The altCABS cannot confirm the ability of the The Operator to accommodate any Particular Requirements.

    6. Any typographical errors, including pricing errors, that appear on the Website may be corrected by altCABS. Any monies already paid by You will be refunded in full if you wish to withdraw your offer once You are informed of the error.

    7. It is acknowledged and accepted by You that altCABS is acting as the agent of The Operator and that altCABS will attempt to assist You with any complaints You may have regarding The Operator's services, but that any legal actions will be taken against The Operator directly not the altCABS.

    8. The monies for all the pre-paid Card bookings will be collected by altCABS acting entirely in its own right. AltCABS will settle all Card Costs on the booked Trip before making the payment due to The Operator.

    9. If The Operator determines it is appropriate, The Operator grants altCABS the right to novate the contract for the provision of transport services between You and The Operator to another suitable party, in order to ensure that the Booking as effected through this Website will be fulfilled.


    1. When booking with "Pay by Card", You are agreeing to pay the fare at the time of booking. In the case of a "Pay by Cash" booking, the fare must be paid directly to the driver of the operator.

    2. Unless otherwise stated in clause 6 of these Terms, you cannot cancel or change Your Booking after payment has been made and Your booking is received on Our platform and is confirmed to you on the screen of your device.

    3. Should your Card issuer refuse payments for whatever reason, altCABS will not be able to process your booking if you are paying by Card.

    4. You will receive an email receipt for payment from altCABS at the email address you provided when making the reservation. An altCABS VAT receipt will also be included in this email. If you require a VAT receipt for fees charged by The Operator, you must contact them directly.

    5. Extra requirements, such as child seats, will not be covered by your payment. The Operator may charge you extra if you do not indicate any additional luggage when booking, resulting in a larger size vehicle being needed. Depending on your own discretion, you may tip your taxi driver directly.

    6. Should You deviate from the route that You entered into the Website, You may be subject to additional charges by The Operator and will be responsible for making such payments directly to The Operator or their driver.

    7. AltCABS provides all Quotes inclusive of VAT, where applicable, at the standard rate. When a promotional code is applied to a Fare, the altCABS fee is first reduced. An excess discount will then be deducted from the Operator-related fee.

    8. Each booking can only be subject to one promotional offer or prize, and each customer can enter only one competition (based on their mobile or email address). In the case of multiple promotional offers being requested for a booking, altCABS will apply the offer with the greater value at its discretion.


    1. In the event that Your Goods sustain any damage or loss during a Trip, neither altCABS nor the Operator is responsible or insured to cover such damage or loss. It is exclusively Your responsibility to ensure such Goods are properly insured.


    1. When you make a Booking through the Website, you have the right to cancel it.

    2. altCABS requires that You notify Us via the Contact Us page or Our published email address if you wish to cancel a Booking, quoting the booking reference in your cancellation request.

    3. In the event of cancellation in accordance with clause 6.1, Any booking made through our public website will be allowed as per the Cancellation Allowed Time.

      1. Cancellation Allowed Time is 12 hours plus the travel time from The Operator's office address in our system. The travel time will be calculated using commonly known and publicly available mapping services such as google maps, apple maps or others. 

      2. Where your cancellation is within the Cancellation Allowed Time, if You paid by card, your full amount will be refunded less 5% card processing fee and admin charges. 

      3. If your cancellation occurs after the Cancellation Allowed Time, you will not receive a refund if you paid by Card. If you paid by Cash, your profile will be marked which may prevent you from booking through altCABS again, unless such dues are paid to altCABS.

      4. If You have paid by card, for all vehicle bookings carrying 9 or more passengers, you will be entitled to a full refund only if you cancel a Booking up to one week prior to Agreed Pickup Time (unless expressly stated on the confirmation page and in your email confirmation). Where the cancellation is less than one week and you paid via card no refund will be available.

      5. Upon the Operator failing to turn up within 15 minutes of the Agreed Pick-Up Time, and You not using The Operator for the Trip, You will be entitled to a full refund of the Fare, along with any Card Costs per card payment you made in advance, as full and final settlement of any claims You might have. You will not be entitled to a refund, however, if at your own discretion you decide to proceed with the trip after 15 minutes after the agreed time has passed.

      6. You will not be entitled to any refund of the Fare, and any Card Costs that you may have paid in advance if you are not available at the Agreed Pick-Up Point within 15 minutes of the Agreed Time. 

      7. You may be subject to additional charges by The Operator if The Operator waits more than 15 minutes past the Agreed Time and you will pay the Operator directly for any additional waiting time and/or parking charges.

      8. Depending on your bank or card issuer, refunds due to you for pre-paid bookings will be made to the card used to make the payment within 3-5 business days.


    1. In the event that You or your party's conduct affects the safety of you or the driver of the vehicle, the Operator reserves the right to terminate the Trip within its reasonable discretion. No liability is accepted by altCABS or The Operator if you/your party incur extra costs as a result of The Operator's action.

    2. During a trip, passengers are not permitted to bring alcoholic drinks onto the vehicles.

    3. Any person under the influence of alcohol or drugs may also be refused carriage by the Operator.


    1. Despite the fact that the Operator has warranted to altCABS that it is licensed by the appropriate licensing authority(ies), altCABS shall not be responsible for verifying such a warranty, and if you have any doubts, You should contact the Operator directly.

    2. We shall not be responsible for any delays in pick-up or drop-off times, or for failures by The Operator to arrive on time or to meet Your expectations.

    3. In no event shall altCABS be liable (whether in contract or otherwise) for any indirect loss or consequential loss or loss of revenue suffered by You in connection with any failure by The Operator or otherwise in connection with these Terms or otherwise, and in the event you consider that You have any claim against The Operator, you agree to do so directly.

    4. There will be no more than £500 in aggregate liability of altCABS under these Terms and any matter arising out of them (including claims made in contract or tort).

    5. All warranties, conditions, or other terms implied by statute or common law are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.

    6. No provision of this clause shall exclude your rights under consumer legislation or limit The Operator's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence.

    7. AltCABS offers estimated trip times and arrival times on its Public website and elsewhere as a guideline only, and are not subject to traffic or weather conditions.

    8. You agree that you are responsible for setting an Agreed Time that allows you sufficient time to reach Your destination in order to check-in for a flight, take a train or fulfill any other obligations you may have.

    9. The altCABS may send You email and SMS text alerts regarding the status of your Booking, though altCABS does not guarantee the delivery nor the timing of these email and SMS text alerts, and will not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses or revenue losses resulting from such omissions or delays.

    10. For the purposes of this clause, each of the foregoing subclauses shall constitute a separate and severable provision. These provisions will remain in effect despite termination, completion, or any other matter which might otherwise invalidate these Terms.


    1. Neither the Operator nor its agents and/or drivers and/or employees shall be liable for the carriage or delivery of:

      1. Any goods or property (of whatever nature) with an intrinsic value of more than £50, including money, securities, antiques, precious metals, furs, or jewellery.

      2. Items which are hazardous, dangerous, inflammable, explosive or noxious, are illegal to possess under existing English law, or

      3. Basically, anything that might deteriorate in transit (of any kind).

    2. Under clause 9.1, the Operator shall not be liable for any loss or damage, however arising

    3. It is agreed that with out prejudice to clause 9.1, the Operator will not be liable directly or indirectly for any of the following:

      1. The Operator, its employees and/or agents and/or employees and/or drivers are not responsible for any loss, damage or breakage to fragile items irrespective of whether such loss, damage or breakage is caused by their actions, omissions or negligence.

    4. In particular, but without limiting the generality of clause 10.1, the Operator is not liable for any loss and/or damage arising directly or indirectly from:

      1. A breakdown, an accident, adverse weather conditions.

      2. A Customer's act or omissions on their part.

      3. any clause, act or circumstance beyond the control of The Operator (including, without limitation, any strike, (official or not) lock-out or other form of industrial action or labour dispute, governmental regulations, legal restrictions, embargoes, fire, flood, Act of God, any consequence of riot, war, invasion, act of foreign enemy, hostilities (whether war be declared or not) civil war, acts of terrorism, rebellion, military or usurped power, confiscation, requisition or destruction of or damage to property by or upon the order of or in the name of any Government or public local authority, or other conditions amounting to force majeure).

    5. The provisions of clauses 9.1 and 10.1 apply to loss or damage to goods or property, but not to death or personal injury.


    1. You agree to first contact The Operator directly (by Phone or Email) if you have a complaint regarding the service provided by The Operator within 24 hours of the Agreed Time.

    2. Upon failing to resolve your complaint with The Operator, you agree to contact altCABS via the Contact Us page or by email to within 72 hours of the Agreed Time. If You fail to comply with this requirement, any claim You might otherwise have will be invalidated.

    3. You agree to be bound by the decision of an independent third party selected by altCABS if altCABS is unable to resolve any claim you may have concerning the service provided by The Operator to your mutual satisfaction.

    4. altCABS is not responsible for claims, demands and damages (actual and consequential) of any kind or nature that may arise out of or are connected with disputes between You and the The Operator.


    1. Any personal Data collected during a Booking will be kept confidential by the altCABS. Your data will not be shared with third parties without your consent.

    2. This Privacy Policy may be amended by altCABS, and such amendments will be posted on the Website


    1. This terms and conditions document constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes any previous agreements and representations (except as expressly preserved herein) oral or whatsoever made by either of the parties. In entering into this agreement, You warrant that you have not relied on any representations made by altCABS.

    2. A party's failure to enforce any right, claim, or provision of these Terms shall not be construed as a waiver of that right, claim, or provision.

    4. You will receive all notices from us in writing at the email address you have provided. The notice shall be deemed given one hour after it is sent if it is sent by email.

    5. English law shall govern and construe these Terms and Your agreement with altCABS. In the event of any dispute between you and altCABS under this Agreement, you irrevocably consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England, but nothing herein shall prevent altCABS from bringing an action against You in any other court of competent jurisdiction.
